Ezekiel 28
03:36
|
|||
You were the seal of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
You were in Eden,
the garden of God;
every precious stone adorned you:
carnelian, chrysolite and emerald,
topaz, onyx and jasper,
lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.
Your settings and mountings were made of gold;
on the day you were created they were prepared.
You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.
You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.
Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, guardian cherub,
from among the fiery stones.
Your heart became proud
on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
I made a spectacle of you before kings.
By your many sins and dishonest trade
you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire come out from you,
and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
in the sight of all who were watching.
All the nations who knew you
are appalled at you;
You have come to a horrible end...

God rest you merry, gentlemen, let nothing you dismay
For Jesus Christ our Savior was born upon this day
To save us all from Satan's power when we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
From God our heavenly Father a blessed angel came
And unto certain shepherds brought tidings of the same
How that in Bethlehem was born the Son of God by name
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
Now to the Lord sing praises, all you within this place
And with true love and brotherhood each other now embrace
This holy tide of Christmas all other doth deface
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Glass Ornaments
02:39
|
|||
And when you fucking Christmas tree fell over
It shattered all the glass ornaments except for mine
And I knew all this time
you just wanted me to die
And when you screamed at me across plates of warm meat
And every family member sat in their assigned seat
Well, I knew all that time
That your household wasn't mine
All I wanted as a present was someone who would know me
But as I watch the cold rainfall outside a window at night\
I know you've never bothered to hold me

It's naïve to think you could love me forever
When we don't have forever to live
You've never pulled a silver gun on me
And I don't have a heart left to give
I avoid the sunlight ever day of my life
And you'll have to invite me in
Please let me know when I can drink from you
And let me know when to fake a grin
I sleep with my hands folded over my chest
I'm comfortable except when you're around
I keep my collars starched and stiff
And my bedsheets six feet underground
I didn't think I'd make it to 27
But even immortals have their surprises
You can love me by the starlight
And I'll leave you when the sun rises
How can I love a mortal person
And how can you love a blood stain-soaked man
You can't console my wood-staked heart
Even when you hold my corpse-cold hand
I'm afraid I'm not quite meant to exist
And you're not meant to observe me
I can't look in the mirror when I'm alone
And I know damn well I'll never be free
I hate to write my own laments
Especially one so full of clichés
But at the end of it all, I'm not sure what to do
And I've never known quite what to say

Cadaver Cable Florida
Formed in 2019, Cadaver Cable is the passion project of a Florida goth, and, sometimes, his friends. It's made up of 2am
compositions, phone voice memo recordings, twenty-dollar keyboards, sore hands, and desperation.
A friend of the band jokingly referred to its genre as "corpse-core." Another said "it has a very deranged haunted quality." The genres of the albums are not consistent at all.
