Kneel with me by the creek
And we’ll fill our mouths with wild onions
They taste like dirt but fill things up
And I crave that wild communion
Follow me to unknown divinity
We can wade in a river of cream
You said all lovers descend to hell
But last supper follows me wherever I dream
None of you will confess your deaths
While my neck is the guillotine
You cannot bless me nor what I eat
And I’d rather be loved than perceived

Cupid

Give birth to an angel named cupid
You’ve seen them in renaissance paintings
Raise that thing with your eyes averted
And feed it the most beautiful playthings
It’ll know you by the back of your head
And the sound of you closing your eyes
Fill it with hunger and fill it with dread
And make it your most precious dear prize
Do not look at your angel named cupid
For it has grown hungry and wild
It has fangs and claws that it hid
And it never was ever your child

So this is how the cowboys lived, yeah?
They sit around a fire, feasting on your corpses
So this is how the cowboys lived, yeah?
When they aren’t riding round their horses
So this is how the cowboys lived, yeah?
Waiting on the world to fall to destructive forces
The house next door to me went on sale
And I’ll never meet the babysitters again
The house next door to me went on sale
Have you been held since you were ten?
The house next door to me went on sale
And they cut down the tree I broke my leg climbing in
So this is how the man with the golf club felt
When he took it to the road and killed an injured fox
So this is how the man with the golf club felt
When I packed the songs I knew into a moving box
So this is how the man with the golf club felt
When I swing it at my future and show them what they’ve lost
So this is how the man with the golf club felt
When he bought a box of nails and stuck them in the cross
And I don’t know what the man with the golf club felt
When gathered up the fox’s blood and couldn’t count the cost

Water

If Judas’s rope was frayed or his tree branch broke
He could have walked among the common people
And if Pontius Pilate was forgiven because he dipped his hands in water
Could Judas have been granted access to this water
Or would his blood itself suffice to cleanse the man of his sins
And did Mr. Pilate have water brought to him by armies and officers
And is suicide the sin for the common man
Would choking down bleach make a child a sinner
If they were a child of man.
Is there innocence to be found in a psychology textbook
And a trial at the pearly gates
Were you too lost to know that you were sinning
Can you be fucked up enough to earn forgiving
Can you be loved without first being hated
Can you be cleansed without first being ruined
And is there enough water for everyone
Do I know what I am doing?

Did you know that
People stop aging and things stop changing and metal stops rusting and plastic stops fading and people stop talking
When the spark dies
And you might think it’s devastating and you might find your heart aching
But I think it’s beautiful to be frozen in time
I won’t be biodegradable or decay-able if I am capable
Of existing in a form you could never recognize

Cadaver Cable Florida
Formed in 2019, Cadaver Cable is the passion project of a Florida goth, and, sometimes, his friends. It's made up of 2am
compositions, phone voice memo recordings, twenty-dollar keyboards, sore hands, and desperation.
A friend of the band jokingly referred to its genre as "corpse-core." Another said "it has a very deranged haunted quality." The genres of the albums are not consistent at all.
