Love, the way-weary, groped to your body,
Our brief wage
Ours for the moment
Before Earth's soft hand explored your shape
And the blind
Worms grew fat upon
Your substance
Men prayed me that I set our work,
The inviolate house,
As a memory of you
But for fit monument I shattered it,
Unfinished: and now
The little things creep out to patch
Themselves hovels
In the marred shadow
Of your gift.

Exterminator
02:34
|
|||
I live in a house full of ants, rats, roaches, and flies
I can’t see any of them even with my glasses on
But I can feel them in my veins and in the skies
There’s always more bugs and more bids to take on
But the poisons and the toxins and the toll of the day
Will kill me before I get a chance to breathe
And I’ll never quit my job even with my life at stake
Because surely a man has got to breathe
I’ll never go home because I’ll never find what I want
You’ll go home at the end of the day
You’ll go home when you get paid
But I’ll come back
There are rats in the offices here and my town
Needs an exterminator...
That’s me

Sorry
03:15
|
|||
They say you are an unlovable wretch
Maybe that’s so, but surely there’s a catch
You said that nothing’s even written into fate
Maybe that’s so, for somebody so great
I bet we both hate the government
And I don’t even know what you mean
I carry sand in my pant's pockets
And you think that the desert is clean
I’m sorry about your nightmarish trips
And your match-burned little finger tips
If I bring the cigarette, will you bring the lighter?
If you start the flame, then will it burn brighter?
I’ve listened to you avoiding all my questions
I’m sorry about the way you don’t mind pain
I’ve read about your sorry imperfections
And I’m sorry it seems that we might be the same
I’ll drink beer or lemonade or anything to wash my mouth
And I never know what to do with my hands
Watch out for the security, cameras around my house
But I sure hope that my bedroom beats the sands
Well, sir, I don’t know if you’re enjoying Texas
But I welcome you here to my home and land

Love Me
01:28
|
|||
Have you ever considered marriage?
Have you considered someone’s hand?
Have you ever longed for someone to hold you?
As you cross the barren lands?
Why would you follow the whims of men?
When men live on the whims of gold?
Will you be my shade in the summer heat?
And be my blanket in the winter cold?
I heard what you found in the city
You know what I’ve found in my house
But I just want someone to love me
As much as this country allows

Hell
01:25
|
|||
I’ll stand there while you try to shoot me
No bullet can kill a mortal man
They said I’d be dead by fifty
But they don’t understand
Put a copy of Morte d’Arthur in my coffin
Promise me, that you’ll think about me often
I really don’t care what kills me
I’ve already had my tail to tell
When I die don’t look at me
Do you think they'll have cigarettes in hell?

Cadaver Cable Florida
Formed in 2019, Cadaver Cable is the passion project of a Florida goth, and, sometimes, his friends. It's made up of 2am
compositions, phone voice memo recordings, twenty-dollar keyboards, sore hands, and desperation.
A friend of the band jokingly referred to its genre as "corpse-core." Another said "it has a very deranged haunted quality." The genres of the albums are not consistent at all.
