Wine and Cheese
01:43
|
|||
I'm drinking wine tonight
With cheese I hate
I'm drinking it by the bottle!
I'm dripping blood tonight
From my ears
I'm scraping it off with needles
I want is to smash some glasses!
But God won't ever leave me alone
Not since I prayed to him as a child
And I entered into his home
I locked a rosary
In a cabinet
And I left it there, until I was twenty-one
I'm getting drunk tonight
Like every night
And I'm binging mountain goat albums
I'm dripping sweat tonight
Under winter skies
It's a holy night
A lonely night
And I'm breathing it in through way too many eyes!

What if they don't love you back
What if they don't love you back
What if they don't love you back
What if they don't love you back
What if they don't love you back
Shatter a wine bottle and sever your cheek
On a broke glass that flies from your hand
Sit outside on a metal bench in the night
And feel how the cold will grope your legs
You know they'll never see you,
Even though you exist to be seen
You know they'll never know you
You can't avoid being seen
Wear the same makeup four days in a row
And let it smear when your eyes water
Never let your eyes fully gather and cry
Or else somebody will notice you
There's too many beer cans lying in the trash
There's too many pill bottles on your desk
And everyone visits your house and everyone sees
The corpse of your body lying on unwashed sheets
And still not once will they observe you
They'll stare at you and they'll never know you
But what if they love you back
What if they love you back
What if the love you back
What if the love you back
But they never
Well they never look at your face, now do they?

Luxury Grave
01:55
|
|||
Luxury fruits churn themselves into paste
Walk by me faster make effort make haste
Tell me your choices for your last meal
In front of velvet thrones you better kneel
Tell me where you buried each of your bones
Please dear map out for me every unknown
Tell me the secrets confined to your books
Savor each second of every weird look
Skin yourself quickly and don't make mistakes
Deal with the blood loss you must stay awake
I am quite honestly not here you you
I am just telling you what's left to do
Luxury juices can paint the town red
Can't do much painting, you're better off dead
Help me assist you to your quiet grave
It don't be painful if you just behave

Oh I Love You
01:06
|
|||
There's something simmering in the half-darkness of 1 AM
When the streetlights challenge the moon
And the distant cars have places to be
And you're changing so quickly
That you're not moving at all
And you better look closely
Since you're about to fall
Oh I love you,
I love you
But it's hard to love a place
That doesn't love me at all
Oh I love you
Yes, I love you
But it's hard to love a place
That doesn't love me at all

Ode to a Dead Thing
01:32
|
|||
I hear the reverberation of hymns sung in church-Latin
Tumbling down the halls alongside your memory
The organ's coughing out its dulcet screams
And I'm alone again, which is always it seems
And the only ones keeping me company are
The father, the son, and the holy ghost
I have no heartbeat anymore
It vanished when you fell off the earth
The sun takes longer to rise than it used to
Don't ask me why
And the stars are a little dimmer I think, too
Don't ask me why, I don't know why
Just walk on you used to
Just walk on by
Like you used to

Red
01:05
|
|||
The sky glows red on the horizon
And the sun sets on my windshield
As we roll down the highway
With you in the passenger seat
And your window rolled down
Your hair carried by the breeze
Oh, we've got hours left on this road trip
But as you craft a conversation
I've made up my mind, our destination

Cadaver Cable Florida
Formed in 2019, Cadaver Cable is the passion project of a Florida goth, and, sometimes, his friends. It's made up of 2am
compositions, phone voice memo recordings, twenty-dollar keyboards, sore hands, and desperation.
A friend of the band jokingly referred to its genre as "corpse-core." Another said "it has a very deranged haunted quality." The genres of the albums are not consistent at all.
